it's here, hoooraaaay!

it's here, it's finaly here, phew...... We have been slaving away for the past three weeks getting our new store ready for our fellow oafs and oafettes to come visit and sample our very tastey wares. I am worn out but a little tearful with joy at how it's worked out, hell I would shop here maybe even live there. The shop is on the ground floor of Kingly court smack bang in the middle of Carnaby street in the big smoke. Some of our new neighbours are VANS, Marshmallow Mountain (fabulous vintage), and playlounge.
The inside is looking very snazzy, it's amazing what you can do with spray paint there's a giant block man in the middle (my favourite bit), a massive lazy oaf doodle and lots of sparkly treasures to be found from the likes of Lady Luck Rules Ok including her new fabulous valley girl hair bands and the new atomic collection, we also have hand printed monsters and cards from Rachel Ortas, piano key belts and limited edition duudleville tale books to mention just a few things.

Not only all this but this is the place where we have launched the new Lazy Oaf collection first, which includes some super cute puff sleeved polos with a bambi print, and for the oaf's there are some rock n roll inspired t-shirts that have a whiff of spinal tap about them. if you can't make it to the store don't worry about it, it will be available online in the next 2-3 weeks. The shop is open mon -sat 11-7pm and sun 12-6pm. Please pop in and say a 'hello' to us we're very friendly and we don't want to get all lonely and stuff!
Hope to see you soon

I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD AND YOU CAN'T STOP ME!

Once we returned from our trip to Berlin It took hardly any time for me and the mr lars von ticklebar to slip into our comfortable routine of tea, tea some more tea, some fox's crinkle crunch biscuits and an unhealthy dose of Van dyke's Diagnosis Murder. Slumped in front of the tv we often chatted during add breaks discussing our dreams hopes and fears, safe in the knowledge that I had found the perfect companion. Till one day during Lk today, Lars appeared at the doorway with his little ticklebar suitcase and ridiculous sunglasses. "Where the hell are you going bearfriend?" says I. "I'm going to Disney world, where the lights shine bright and they spell fun with capitals, auf weidersen." Needless to say it was a short trip and he's back in one piece, but lets all share a moment and ahve a brief butchers at his snaps.

Mr Lars Von Ticklebar's first encounter with a stunted Mickey, Personally I thought Lars was pushing it a bit with the t-shirt.

One night that methinks must have resulted in a fuzzy head in the morning. Here's Lars riding a sea of pooh's.

The morning after. rumour has it Lars witnessed Goofy grinding his way dance hall stylee to a bit of sean paul that night.

Ticklebar finaly got to meet the mickster himself. He thinks he has a passing resemblance to him. I think we all know Lars, that you're just a bit of a cheap copy. Your eyes are a bit close together, but we love you for it

beef street visits lazy oaf, how nice of them

I thought I would share with you all a peak into our store in Kingly court Carnaby street, at the moment it's a temp shop open until the 13th March when it will be closed down (boo!) But all is ok, don't feel sad for us as we are going to work like beasts to make it a super spangly lazy oaf permanent shop! hooray! I will of course let you know the details of a grand opening, perhaps i should have a celebrity to cut a ribbon or something, will have to think on that a while.
Anyways the very personable boys and girls from Beef street came in and drew all over the place for me and also included tales of lost loves and comical violence in the changing room, but to get a better look at it all, pop in and have a ganders before i get a big paint brush and sadly say goodbye to their scribbles. Beef Street are a collaboration of talented drawrers and dreamers who also happen to be a very knowledgeable about american tv series of yesteryear, Quantum Leap, there is also a framed picture of Scott Bacula in their front room, not to everyones taste, but it makes me smile. If you want to get in touch with them, they are currently putting there site together, drop me a line and I can put you touch!
Oh...and I have discovered myspace, but i don't have many friends, I feel a little lonely, if you would like to be part of my gang please visit us here
