The New Collecion is Here!!

Yeah! The new collection is fresh in, and ready to go go go! We have brand new designs for Guys and Gals. Including several B movie themed tee's with a Loud Lazy Oaf twist. Such as Godzillas with 3D specs, neon Vamp Lips and Some X-Ray Specs! Below is a quick peek at just some of the new tee's! All of them are available now to buy on the web. Let those naughty fingers click click click.

On the more girlie inspired side, get your 5 a day with the Tutti Fruiti tee, as inspired by Carmen Miranda and cartons of five alive.

Mmmm Milk, I don't actually like milk, except with cocoa pops. But I would consider drinking from this little milk carton, he's happy and has a really fancy straw. Sail away is carrying on my nautical obsession, and turns every outfit into instant ladyness.

Give it some attitude in this Biker Jacket tee, available for boys too, this is my new favourite way to look well hard. Or go with the X-Ray spec tee that zaps terrible mind bending lasers into baddies the world over.

Mmmm If only all burgers came stacked this high. This guy has small boots and some jazzy hands so he is no ordinary burgerboy! If you like Robots then you are also going to love this new Men's Tee!

I am sorry if I have used one to many exclamation marks, i am just sooo excited about the new things, whoop whoop!! Please check out the full range as you go through the online shop, and we would love to know what you guys think of all the new lovelieness!
Right, best get back to pimpin some pumps for thursday.

Pimp My Pump

We here at oaf towers are a little in love with our canvas type shoes, so have asked
over 30 of our most favourite designers, crafters and drawers to customuse a pair
each. All the plimpsoles will then be showcased in a very special exhibiton a mere 10
footsteps away from our Kingly Court Store in London, woop woop.
Here you will see the magical and talented work of the likes of Jon Burgerman,
Ian Stevenson, kate Moross, Kate Sutton, PeepShow, Knit and destroy, Hicalorie
My Paper Crane, and many many more.
We are very very excited about this event as the exhibition will then be travelling
around the UK and then to a few European destinations...ooh la la.
After London, it will go to T-shu in Holland, then to Royal Cheese in Paris, back to the
UK for a show in Thunder Egg in Manchester, then on to My Yard in Bristol,
and finally to Brighton. So if you miss it in London, perhaps you can make it to one
of the other venues.
We are having a launch party on the 27th September 6 - 9pm where we will also be
celebrating the launch of our brand new Lazy Oaf collection...Hooray!.
We have got some lovely sponsorship from Brother’s Cider, who will be providing
drinks on the evening and I am sure we can russle up some snackage and pop too,
We will also be giving 10% discount in store on the night.
Due to overwhelming demand at our last exhibition we need to get RSVP’s from you
guys, if you want to attend! Everyone who gets an RSVP to us will receive tickets
at the door for boozy and pop refreshments. You don’t need to be over 18 to attend,
of course but there will be no booziness for you, just pop.
To let us know you will be attending email: info@lazyoaf.com with “I wanna pimp”
as subject title!

Our Paris Adventure

Bonjour Oafs and oafettes
For the past week lazy oaf has been hitting the stands at ‘Who’s next’ in Paris, one of Paris’s biggest tradeshow. We were there last year, for our season debut (ooh la la) , and thought, heck why not, lets do it again.
This was my first time to a trade show ever, so I was rather excited, even more so because it was in Paris. Paris is fun, mainly because I can stuff my face full with pain au chocolat, and get to stare at the wealth of tiny poochie dogs that most Parisian ladies seem to own. God I want a dog sooooo badly!
I had also never been on an oaf adventure, most my lazy days are spent in the kingly court store fiddling around with the t-shirts or dancing around to cheesy 80’s music. Apologises to any of you that may of witness this! Eek!
So I thought I’d give you a little insight into our Paris adventure and guide to the cool shopping hot spots that Paris beholds.
Day one
We arrived rather wearily into Gare du Nord station but had to quickly hot foot it over to Porte de versailles were who’s next was being held.
The exhibition hall to me was massive, I was a little taken back by the hundreds of rows and rails, but it made be more determined to make our stand look as awesome as possible. 4 hours later and half dead we had finished so me and Katie, finally trapsed back to our apartment, for a long deserved lie down and slog out in front of French MTV. Hmm I didn’t really understand any of it, so I read Heat Mag instead!

Day 2,3,4
Pretty much revolved around the show and spreading the oaf love of our new autumn winter collection.
Katie showed me the ropes, because although I knew all about the kingly court shop, selling at a trade show is a whole different ball game. But Katie’s a master, so I felt I was in safe hands.
Some days were busy where we got a couple of lovely new stockist in France, Greece and even Japan! Woo yeah! But some days were quiet, this gave me a chance to get to know the other exhibitors around us, especially Adeline affre and Sweet Dynamite. They were hilarious and made the quite hours way more fun.
I was quite impressed by the amount of free booze at the end of each day, Katie had warned me that doing a trade show with a hangover was not fun, however overwhelmed by the amount of free stuff, I didn’t really listen to her and drank about 8 glasses of literally whatever I could lay my hands in about 10 minutes.
The next day was not good! Never drink at a trade show it’s such a bad, bad idea!
Day 5 and 6
Gemma turned up on the last day. So the first thing I did was take her to see the fashion show, which although had at least 4 of our t-shirts in, it was the most comical thing I’ve seen in a long time.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve never seen a fashion show with the compare being an ultra camp drag queen, who was sporting some sort of PVC leopard print cat suit and stiletto heel.
At the end they were dragging the audience up on stage to dance, so I managed to drag gem up on stage and we both started dancing like complete idiots. You know, As you do!
To celebrate the end of the trade show, the Sweet Dynamite girls took us out for dinner, at their favourite restaurant. Cheers ladies!
The last day was our day of rest, pweh! Which wasn’t really so much rest more like shopping! Hooray!
Desire and Amelie had given us an extensive list of where to go, so here’s our guide to our top five Paris shops:
1. Lazy Dog
A mecca for all things graff and street. It stocks everything from the latest artbooks to lazy oaf t-shirts. Woooo Yeah! This is Gemma's fav shop in Paris, I've been and have to admit it is rather snaz-mataz!!
2 Passage Thiere 75011 Paris
http://www.lazydog.fr
2. Royal Cheese
This shop is full to the brim with the latest wears and t-shirts from some of the coolest labels around, including Cheap Monday, Insight, April 77, lady luck and of course a brand called lazy oaf, dunno if you've heard of that one?! The acessories range is killer, Ch Ch Check it out!
24 Rue Tiqetonne 75002 Paris France
http://www.royalcheese.com
3. Colette
Is amazing, it's a white pristine wonderland of cool graphic, music and very very expensive clothes, most of which i would like to own. It even has it's own cafe. If i could live there i think i would, it's well worth a look.
213 Rue Saint Honore 75001 Paris France
http://www.colette.fr
4. Artoyz
Is the French equivalent of our very own Play Lounge. It does have a variation in the toy collections, and stocks a wide range of independent artist, toys and zines. Which i think is awesome. It has the biggest Qee I've ever seen, he's rather handsome.
45 rue de l'arbre Sec 75001 PARIS
http://www.artoyz.com
5. Ugly
Me Katie and Gem all started dribbling when we saw this shop. It's essentially an interior design shop, but stocks some amazing designer goodies. Such as antler coat racks and wallpaper by call of the wild.
It's all amazing.

Competition Winners

After hours of careful deliberation and biscuit munching, we have come up with our winner, who is 'Drum roll and mini fanfare, please'......
Chris
I'd cross myself with an owl.
My name would be "Owlor", but some (Scots-Jamaicans) would call me "Hoots-mon", others (Grannies) would call me "Scary O-boy" and I'd be known to some (teeny weeny meany teachers) as "Twit ta-WOO".
Chiefly speaking, I'd have ta-Woo (two) main powers. They do be:
1.Head twisty - my great fluffy neck would be able to look right round to keep an eye out for foes (Badger Chaps) and to see if my bottom is wiped correctly.
2. Mouse-Munch - I just love the crunchy, juicy taste of mice. But what I would do is to chew them up in my big old beak and spit out the bones like a conventional human machine gun at my foes. RAT-A-TAT-A-TAT.
I'd have big eyes and be very wise too.
Chris your snazzy music braces tee and £25 gift voucher is winging it's way to you.
But alas we also have three very wierd and wonderful runners up, who all receive a 15 pound lazy oaf gift voucher.
Victoria:
I would be a medium sized brown dog and i would have super detective powers like Columbo. Criminals would under-estimate me because I was such an average looking dog, they wouldn't realise I had a massive detective brain until of course I used that brain to capture them. My speciality would be catching murderers who were badly dressed in expensive clothes. Like Columbo I would have a glass eye and a shabby mac. I would drive a French car. My name would be Columdog.
Alex:
I'd cross breed myself with a flamingo.. wearing a pinstripe suit.. and don't forget the wooden beret! My secret power would be to be able to lift my beret (with my 7 added hooves) and dispense pens/pencils/sharpeners from a tap-like growth in my head (concealed by the wooden beret. Children would flock to me and I'd be unbelievably popular in the back to school season. If anyone dared to abuse my generosity, I'd simply throw chips at them.
Tracey:
If I could cross breed myself with an animal it would be a extraordinarily cute, little pine marten that has a lazy eye which makes him look crazy. My unique special power would be that I could turn into Rick James when I wink my apparently useless lazy eye, going from a half human half pine marten to Rick James in a flash, the blink of an eye in fact.
In my new persona I would hurl insults at poor passers by, particularly the following 'I'M RICK JAMES BI**H' 'WHAT DID THE FIVE FINGERS SAY TO THE FACE?'(Then my new Rick James hands would slap the unfortunate person) 'IT'S FRIDAY. LET'S GET F**KED UP'(at this point I would chase them as I have a feeling they wouldn't be incline to comply) even if it isn't Friday.
I would finished my tirade of insults with 'COLD BLOODED' as it would be ironic and is a trademark Rick James saying. I suspect after all of this, or at some point during the act I would be on the receiving end of something incredibly insulting, so at this point I'd blink my lazy eye and turn back to my adorable half human half pine marten self and everyone would stare and point and take picture of my lazy eye and my long tail and my whiskers and my cute little nose and forget what a rude b**tard I was.
Thanks to every one who contributed their crossbreds from the uber cute to the just plain obscure and a special thanks to our head independant judge, you know who you are!
