Introducing our frontwomen for the fifth G.E.M collection... Nasty Cherry. Meet singer Gabbriette, guitarist Chloe, bassist Georgia and drummer Debbie.
The four piece, with members from London and LA was masterminded by Charli XCX and signed to her label, Vroom Vroom Recordings. Charli wanted the group to emulate the āgirl gangsā and covens of her favourite cult movies like Josie and the Pussycats and The Craft. Described as The Runaways meets The Spice Girls, Nasty Cherry embody an unapologetic attitude of female empowerment that resonates with G.E.Mās celebration of girlhood and guts. Their DIY spirit, (they self directed and filmed their video for Live Forever), bratty post-punk sound and nostalgia tinged visuals chime perfectly with the iconic female frontwomen and punk scene icons that heavily inspire the G.E.M collections.
