Ben’s up next! They’re our spray painting, amateur baking, Gaga loving Graphic Designer. Ben spends their days turning all of Oaf’s sometimes wonderful, always weird ideas into actual real life visuals, without ever rolling their eyes and telling us to fuck off. They’re a pandemic recruit, joining the team in April 2021 after that long and mildly traumatising winter lockdown, and they were the human version of that first pub pint, refreshing the wider team with their amazing energy. Who are you and what do you do at Oaf?
I’m on the Graphics team at Oaf, so we’re responsible for creating the branding around all of our new collection drops, newsletter content and assisting on our campaign shoots. No two days are the same!

If you filmed a ‘Day in the Life’ video, what would we see?
If i’m working from home, lots of snacking and singing along to my Spotify playlists. You can usually find me working on design routes for new projects and reviewing them on video calls with the team. I also like to do lots of research to stay inspired!
What’s your favourite thing to eat for breakfast?

If you had to listen to just one album for the rest of your life, which one would it be?
Either “Melodrama” by Lorde or “Red” (Taylor’s Version) for the 10 minute version of “All Too Well” alone.

Tracey Emin, Travis Alabanza and Lady Gaga.

Probably the Peanuts/Snoopy Good Grief fleece!

Describe your ideal Saturday night:
Going for long walks around the Thames and picking up burgers on the way. London is better at night!
What are you most looking forward to in the next year at Oaf?
We have a top secret project launching over the next few weeks which I think will be super fun! The campaign shoot looks amazing 🤫

Where’s your favourite place on the planet?
Glowbar for an infrared sauna session or Soho News International in NYC - fashion magazine heaven.
Have any hidden talents?
Hoarding? For how little space I have in a typical London flatshare I've managed to amass WAY too much stuff. Mainly magazines and vinyls.

Medium chicken butterfly with two sides of peri salted fries 😅
What’s the best thing about working at Lazy Oaf?
The people! No bad vibes. You can also imagine how silly and weird things can get which makes it super fun. Where else would I get to spend the day making paper maché alien heads or spray painting walls in store?
Do you have a comfort TV show you rewatch over and over again?
Pose makes me v happy (but also cry a lot).
