At Home With Hanna Beth
At the beginning of the year we jet setted off to Los Angeles to shoot our latest look books and while we were in town, we hung out with style blogger and internet sensation Hanna Merjos better known as Hanna Beth. We first spotted Hanna on her Buzznet blog and were instantly won over by her unique look and style. We photographed Hanna in her Hollywood home wearing her favourite designs from our new Spring Collection. With shoe lined walls, sofas filled with cuddly toys, 70s punk posters and a swinging 60s chair suspended from the ceiling, her flat was the perfect setting for a photo shoot. We chatted with Hanna about her life, loves and fave pieces from our new collection. What's your name, where do you come from and what do you do? My name is Hanna Beth, I was born in New York but grew up in lovely Los Angeles. I am a blogger, model, fashion designer, glitter obsessed rock n roller' who loves to dance & live everyday as if it's her last...no regrets...just happiness.
What does the season of Spring have in store for you?
Spring should be a pretty exciting season. I already have a few shoots lined up. I am releasing a collaboration with the shoe company YRU and with a clothing brand, but I can't say which one just yet!
What pieces will you be wearing from the new Lazy Oaf Spring collection?
I am OBSESSED with the Awesome Beanie & Sweatpants, I would say I wear those two pieces the most. I am also excited to rock the tie dye pieces and the Bear Bra Top.. it's all super fly & fabulous! I love the cartoon vibe most of the collection has, it's really fun and refreshing.
You have an incredible collection of Hello Kitty paraphernalia, how did this collection begin and what is your most treasured item in the collection?
Ooooh the kitty collection, I don't even know how it began! Haha, I remember when I was young I used to love shopping for my school supplies at the Sanrio store, once I got older & moved out on my own I realised how much Hello Kitty gear they truly make. I swear they make Hello Kitty everything! I guess I'm attracted to the cuteness of it, I don't go crazy with the collecting but if I see a piece I like, I will get it. My favorite Hello Kitty item that I own would have to be my 3D phone case, it's so ginormous, people always freak when I pull it out.. ha.
