Behind the Scenes of the Girls Shoot
Last week we shot our brand new A/W 09 collection in our East London studio with the help of photographer Edith Bergfors, make-up artist Scarlet Ellis, prop maker Rosy Nicholas and our 2 wonderful models CJ and Holly. To get your taste buds tingling we're giving you a sneaky peek of what you can expect to see in the collection launching this September. Be prepared to have your minds blown in a world of galactic treasures, dancing planets and tropical creatures. At every shoot we always like to put on a good spread and this one did not disappoint, in fact it is perhaps the best one yet. Mmmm to the smokey kettle crisps, crusty bread and continuous supply of Maryland Cookies dunked into tea of course. Like all Lazy Oaf shoots, we always tend to go a bit prop crazy and this time the main focus was head pieces. These magical creations are the works of prop maker Rosy Nicholas who hand crafted a geometric gem crown, customised her childhood Indian head dress and neatly constructed a space age bouncy ball piece. Unfortunately these aren't for sale although we sure wish they were. Is that a new dress we see??? Shhhhh it's a secret. The highlight of the shoot was acquiring our 2 new Lazy Oaf pets Malcolm the Parrot and Cliff the Seagul. Luckily Malcolm kept fairly quiet throughout the duration of the shoot however we did catch Cliff trying to scrounge a cookie, it's alright we don't blame you.
After 8 hours of watching the models we all got a little bit jealous that they got play with the props so decided to get in on the action. From left to right we have Gemma, Rosy, Alex, Katie, Scarlet and then Jerry in the middle.
A big thank you to everybody for what was a very successful day; photos from the boys shoot coming soon.
