Introducing: Pomp De Franc

Lazy Oaf
Cake making is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with as our latest discovery Pomp De Franc displays rather beautifully. This cake creating society is run by Katie Franklin who transforms sponge into elaborate pieces of artwork that almost look too good to eat! Katie draws inspiration for her cake designs from the shape, style and colours of the artists she works and her creations recently took pride of place at the collection party of Lily Allen's store Lucy in Disguise. Lazy Oaf now have the ultimate pleasure of presenting you with our own range of Pomp De Franc cakes at the launch of our capsule jewellery collection with Fred Butler in store this Thursday 9th June. If these aren't worth coming down for then we don't know what is?! Check out this incredible rainbow Battenberg inspired by Fred Butler's AW10 collection for the W Project event earlier this year. Cake inspired by Frances Conteh's SS11 collection. Cakes inspired by Draw in Light's AW 11 collection. Cakes designed for Patternity. This royal wedding masterpiece is Katie's biggest cake to date measuring 89cm tall and 52cm wide. It was exhibited as part of the RSVPHRH exhibition in April. We're also pleased to hear that soon you will be able to buy a Buff Banana and Drowning Dime Bar cake from her website which is being launched shortly.....watch this space. You can find out more about Pomp De Franc at http://pompdefranc.tumblr.com and to sample one her amazing cakes, be sure to come on down to the Lazy Oaf store this Thursday from 6-9pm. We simply can't wait!
