See You Next Tuesday: Shark Week Special
Welcome to this weeks latest installment of See You Next Tuesday where the Lazy Oaf team fill you in on the things that have caught our eye or got us talking in the office over the past 7 days. To celebrate the arrival of Shark Week 2013 on the Discovery Channel, this week we're dedicating our entire post to our favourite fearsome fish. 1. INTERNET SENSATIONS: Sharkspear in Love. When someone replaced pop stars album covers with Furby's on Tumblr we thought it couldn't get any better, that was until we saw Sharks make movies better. The blog was set up as a reaction to the viral success of the summer release of Sharknado proving that putting a shark in a film makes everything better. 2. FOOD FAVOURITES: A Shark Bite to Eat. As shark lovers we would never consider eating the real thing unless they came in the form of these sugary-sweet shark attack cupcakes, that is. Made for Jerry by her friend Lisa, these tasty treats were based on a recipe from Hello Cupcakes! - their tongues are made from strawberry winders yep! 3. WINDOW SHOPPING: Hammerhead Wear. Safety comes first in the Lazy Oaf office and this week we wish we could be protecting our heads in one of these fintastic cycling helmets designed by Raskullz. Unfortunately they are only designed to fit children however a young chap did kindly let us borrow his on the shoot of our summer lookbook pictured above. 4. MEDIA MATTERS: Mega Scared for the Megalodon. We have been terrified of the idea of the Megalodon ever since our school trips to the National History Museum so when this week, the Discovery Channel claimed that this 14-18 metre long beast might still swim in our seas, we literally quivered in our boots. If you want to get an idea of what this big boy might look like, we'd recommend watching Shark Attack 3.
